I know many people like to have "lose weight" as their mission statement, and while that's a fine goal, it takes a long time (am I right? Sheesh!) and slow results can mean slowing down at the gym.. Why not make it a fun, one day long goal?
- Today, I will go to the gym and use the next set of heavier weights for my biceps curls, even if I have to do fewer repetitions.
- Today, I will stay on the elliptical/treadmill/bike for 5 minutes longer, no matter what.
- Today, I will try an exercise I've never done before (after being sure I'm doing it properly, of course!). If I hate it, I never have to do it again. If I love it, then hey! I've found something new I love!
These are just examples of the dozens of goals you can reach TODAY! How exciting! Check it off the list, you got something important done today. Good for you.
So what's my mission? Pullups. Why? Because I couldn't do them 4 months ago. Video tomorrow of my progress!
